Eligibility Policies for the Facility
To ensure the safety, health, and harmony of all our guests, the following requirements apply:
- All dogs must be at least 4 months old and vaccinated.
- All dogs must be up to date on the following vaccines:
- Rabies
- Bordetella
- Distemper/Parvo (DHPP or DAPP)
- Leptospirosis is strongly recommended but not required.
- Proof of vaccinations must be submitted prior to your pet’s first booking.
- Dogs exhibiting signs of illness (such as vomiting, coughing, or diarrhea) may be refused entry for safety reasons.
- Dogs over 10 need yearly vet clearance.
- Flea prevention is required. If fleas are found, a flea bath will be administered at the owner’s expense, and infestation charges will be added if contact was made with other dogs.
Temperament & Behavior
- Fearful, nervous, or under-socialized dogs may stay after passing an Enrichment Only Paw’dition. Dogs with a known bite history are not eligible (we recommend an in-home sitter). A Paw’dition is required for new guests and anyone who hasn’t visited in over a year. Same-day Paw’ditions must be booked by phone or time slot, no walk-ins, with a signed waiver and a local emergency contact who can pick up within 4 hours.
- Dogs must be non-aggressive toward other dogs and humans.
- Any dog that exhibits aggressive or disruptive behavior may be removed from group play and switched to a private care rotation.
- Special Handling Fee: if a dog becomes dangerous to staff, or a same-day guest can’t settle, we call the emergency contact for pickup. Dogs not picked up are charged a $75 special handling fee or $100 per night of boarding, as decided by ZCC leadership. The owner will be contacted to authorize charges. These fees apply to all guests.

Spay / Neuter Policy
- Intact males over 9 months join our Boys with Balls Club, rotating only with males, only if they pass their Paw’dition and don’t hump or disrupt the group, limit of 5 per day (replaces “+10% private play care”).
- Females in heat are not accepted. If a dog goes into heat during her stay, we’ll call her emergency contacts, separate her, and add a 15% fee (replaces “accepted if space allows, +10%”).
- Pregnant dogs and whelping puppies cannot be accommodated under any circumstances.
Check-In Requirements
All dogs must arrive with:
- Labeled food (pre-portioned).
- Medication in original packaging with instructions.
- Emergency contact information.
- Up-to-date vaccinations
- 50% deposit (50% remaining at check-out)
Other Fees
- Late pickup (after 6:00 pm Monday–Friday, 5:00 pm Saturday): $15 per 15 minutes.
- No-show / late cancellation within 48 hours: forfeit their deposit
